Dental Services in Beaverton, OR for Kids & Families
Pediatric dentistry is our focus. Adults and families are welcome too, with general dental care from Dr. Jovan Gvozden. Here is everything we offer.
Two doors, one friendly office
Most dental offices try to be everything to everyone and end up feeling like neither a kids’ office nor an adults’ one. We chose a clearer path. Children are the center of what we do, and the way the office runs reflects that. Grown-ups are not an afterthought, though. They are welcome here for the same calm, careful care.
Use the two sections below to find your way. If you are a parent looking for a kids dentist in Beaverton, start on the left. If you are looking for a family dentist in Beaverton for yourself, a partner or a grandparent, start on the right.
For kids: pediatric dentistry with Dr. Hsu
Dr. Hsu is our pediatric dentist. Every service in this group is built around how children actually behave, learn and grow, from a baby’s first tooth to a teenager’s wisdom-tooth questions. See all pediatric dentistry services.

What “pediatric-first” looks like in practice
- We go at the child’s pace. Showing, telling and letting a child touch the instruments often does more than any reassurance.
- Prevention leads. Sealants, fluoride, habit coaching and home-care guidance come before drills.
- Parents are partners. You will always hear what we see and why we recommend something.
- Growth is part of the plan. We watch how teeth and jaws develop, and flag things like early orthodontic questions when they matter.
What “family-friendly” adds
- Adult care under the same roof. Parents and other relatives can see Dr. Gvozden for general dentistry.
- Easier scheduling. Ask us about coordinating appointments so the school-and-work day stays manageable.
- A calm tone for everyone. Adults who feel anxious about the dentist often appreciate the same gentle approach.
- Care that grows with you. Teens move toward adult care with a team they already know.
Not sure where to begin?
Most families begin in one of three ways: a first visit for a young child, a checkup for a school-age child who is overdue, or an adult exam for a parent who has been putting it off. All three are good starting points, and none needs a special reason.
If something hurts, is swollen, or follows an injury, do not wait for a routine slot. Call us and we will help you decide what to do next.
Our office is at 18355 SW Alexander St in Beaverton, convenient for families in Aloha, Hillsboro, Tigard, Tualatin and Sherwood. Visit the new patients page to see what to bring, learn about insurance and payment, or browse the areas we serve.

Questions parents (and adults) often ask
What does “pediatric-first, family-friendly” actually mean?
It means the office is designed around children first: kid-paced visits, explanations in plain language, and preventive care that starts early. It is also a real dental home for parents, siblings and other adults, so a family can often be seen at the same office.
Can my whole family be patients at Bien Dental?
Yes. Pediatric care is led by Dr. Hsu, and general dentistry for adults is led by Dr. Gvozden. Call us to talk about scheduling family members around one another.
Do you see infants and toddlers?
Yes. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends a first dental visit by a child’s first tooth or first birthday. Our infant oral health page explains what to expect.
Where do I start if I am not sure what I need?
Start with an exam. For children that is a first dental visit or checkup; for adults it is an exam and cleaning. From there we explain what we see and what, if anything, needs treatment.
Do you handle dental emergencies?
Call us right away at (503) 822-0096 and we will guide you. Our emergency dentist page covers common situations and first-aid steps while you wait.
Will you check my dental insurance before we come in?
We are happy to check your dental benefits before your visit and to talk through payment options. See insurance and payment or call the office.
Ready to book your child’s visit?
Tell us a little about your family and we’ll reach out to find a time that works. New patients — kids, teens and adults — are welcome, and we accept almost all dental insurance and the Oregon Health Plan (OHP).
